lavender and roses with sandalwood and cinnamon stick sparks over a core of cassis
The richness on the pallet coats the mouth as warm butterscotch mingles with soft fruit and smoke that finishes incredibly long with sweet tobacco and spice
medium-bodied spirit with accent of black pepper and hints of anise and toasted oak
Domaine Drouhin Cuvee Louise Pinot Noir Oregon - 2004 (750ml) Zweigelt -Winemakers NotesBright ruby red. Expressive, floral accented aromas of candied raspberry, cherry cola, five spice powder and herbs. Juicy and broad on entry, then tighter in the middle, offering energetic red and dark berry flavors that turn spicier on the back half. Finishes sappy and very long, leaving cola and cherry notes behind. Seems a bit primary now but I suspect that this will be drinking well by its fifth birthday. Josh Raynolds Vinous 92 points
