the diamonds are designed in a pretty twisted double circle pattern around the pearl
the central stone 8mm x 6mm circa 1780
the initials TP in gothic lettering on another and Addio on the final side circa 1870-80
Edwardian Multi Gem Set Riviere Garnet 5cm wide by 2A stunning Harlequin necklace from the Edwardian era with multi coloured gems that are all claw set. Featuring a central bright pink topaz, 13 chrysoberyls, 4 red garnets, 4 hessonite garnets and 2 aquamarines. All these stones are interspersed with cabochon amethysts and natural pearls. Set in 18 carat gold. Harlequin means "many coloured" and was originally named after the colourful costumes of the 16th century Harlequin comedy actors. It was
