Equator White Inlay on Black Plant Pot 5.9 In MAKER_Soukyu Kiln Its compact size and slightA plant pot formed from the clay of Kusatsu on the shores of Lake Biwa, inspired by ancient pottery and modeled after the shape of the Earth and its equator. A modern reinterpretation of Kusatsu ware, a pottery from 1,400 years ago, the aged looking patina evokes the passage of time. Left unglazed, this pot is decorated with a local Lake Biwa mud known as Seta Silt, whose high iron content creates the black hue. Additional mud sprayed on with a mister
