The original Lake Austin location opened in 1979, and functioned as the second location of The Omlettery, called Omelettry West. It became Magnolia Cafe in 1986 , becoming the diner known for its 24 7 service with an array of Texan and breakfast dishes, from pancakes to migas to Mag Mud queso.
